Throughout 2023, we worked closely with the BNP Paribas bank's application development teams. We audited mobile and web applications, consulted on UX projects (including the new design system) on an ongoing basis, and provided training for UX designers, testers and developers.
Audiotourista audio guides give you the possibility to discover the world and hear the best stories about the most interesting places. Contributing to their mobile apps development by checking its accessibility and usability was a great pleasure and adventure. We tested both iOS and Android versions.
Allegro is the most popular online shopping destination in Poland with over 21 million registered accounts and over 1.2 million items sold on the platform daily. We helped them to improve the platform's accessibility. Our specialists performed initial testing and provided the list of issues which potentially blocked visually impaired people from using both the webpage and mobile application. As a result 20+ improvements have been implemented and deployed in just a few days, making the system more user-friendly and accessible.
We conducted an accessibility audit of one of the most popular platforms for creating online surveys for customers, employees and users - Startquestion. This included a technical test of compliance with the WCAG 2.1 standard at AA level and tests with users with disabilities. The final report also included recommendations and concrete proposals for solutions to the problems detected.
In collaboration with the Jagiellonian University Accessibility Centre, we held a training session on 'How to design accessible websites according to WCAG 2.1'. As part of the class, we demonstrated how people with disabilities use Internet resources, discussed the WCAG guidelines and went through examples of good practices and the most common accessibility mistakes. We used existing university websites as classroom material.
Our project for Museum of Contemporary Art in Krakow covered WCAG compliance assessment together with real user experience testing executed by a visually impaired tester. All MOCAK's presentations and projects are undertaken by the museum with diverse audiences in mind. Museum staff also took part in our training on serving customers with disabilities.
PGS Software is one of Europe's largest software houses with more than 1,000 IT professionals delivering customized software. As part of one of the Accessibility Guild's meetings, we delivered a short introductory training on mobile application accessibility testing to the company's developers and testers.
Krakow Film Foundation created and hosts annual Krakow Film Festivals and other events connected with cinema. We are proud to contribute to one of the biggest film events in Poland by testing accessibility of KFF VOD and MyKFF platforms, where you can order and watch festival movies from all around the world.
PIT Lukasiewicz is an institute that provides R&D projects and commercial services in the fields of modern mobility, sustainable economy, digital transformation and laboratory research. The training we organised involved team leaders, testers, frontend developers and UX designers.
[The Full of Culture Foundation] (https://pelnikultury.pl/the-full-of-culture-foundation/) carries out projects related to music, material and non-material national heritage, tourism, sport and gastronomy. They work on the accessibility of public space for people with disabilities, create audiodescriptions, subtitles and conduct training in the area of accessibility. That's why they engaged us to work on the Digital Unesco project where we conducted a WCAG compliance audit and disabled user testing. We are working closely together, creating, e.g. new accessible website for the foundation.
SAR is an organisation that brings together accessibility industry professionals and develops standards for the accessibility of websites and consumer products. We are actively involved in Standard Accessibility Reporting, including the Standards Development Stewardship Panel. As the first European company to be accepted as a member of SAR, we ensure that the standards developed there are aligned with legislation and practices used in European Union.
The Juliusz Słowacki Theatre in Krakow](https://teatrwkrakowie.pl/en) is one of the most renowned and distinguished Polish theatres. We are proud to regularly create audio descriptions for plays staged there and organise accessible events.
ANDO is a creative agency that often gets involved in campaigns close to our hearts. Our cooperation concerned the preparation of audio excerpts and translations into Polish Sign Language (pjm) for films promoting the PSONI association's 'Yes to independent living' campaign.
We tested the accessibility of Techwriter.pl - the largest Polish website dedicated to technical documentation. We constantly advise technical writers on how to create and maintain accessible content and documents.
Accessibility Plus is a governmental programme adopted by the Resolution of the Council of Ministers. Its aim is to ensure free access to goods, services and opportunities to participate in social and public life for people with special needs. We were pleased to join the signatories of the Partnership for Accessibility, feeling that it is an ideal place for companies like us.
Regional Centre for Cultural Animation in Toruń (Wojewódzki Ośrodek Animacji Kultury - Woak) invited us to perform accessibility audit of its website. We checked the compliance with WCAG guidelines at level AA and conducted tests with users with disabilities.
The Krakow Opera is one of the most prestigious places on the musical map of Poland. We tested part of their webpage - a virtual walking tour - both from impaired user experience and WCAG 2.1 AA perspectives.
We closely cooperate with testerzy.pl – the biggest Polish website dedicated to knowledge sharing in the area of software testing and at the same time big accessibility advocates.
While testing the website of the Ars Independent festival, we carried out verification of compliance with the WCAG 2.1 standard at level AA, as well as tests for users with visual impairments. The project also included retests of corrected accessibility flaws.
Game The Same creates new category of computer games - Dynamic Audio Games. It was a big pleasure to test accessibility of their first and very unique production, Rosemary’s Fate.
As part of the "Practical introduction to digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications" workshop, we introduced Museum of Krakow employees to assistive technologies used by the visually impaired people and showed them how to test the accessibility of websites and mobile applications on their own.
Edisonda is a research and design consultancy specialising in business design. Their team of 50+ seasoned designers, analysts, and researchers support startups and international corporations in the area of self-care, digital workplace, and e-commerce. We supplement their offer with accessibility tests and training for UX and UI designers, programmers and testers.
We designed and created an accessible website, Described.art, containing audiodescriptions of the most famous works of art in the country and the world. Together with founders of this project, we maintain it and develop new features continuously making arts available for visually impaired people.
We have been co-creating the "Software Testing" and "Technical Communication" postgraduate studies at the Vistula University since day one. As part of our partnership, we introduce future testers and technical writers to the world of people with special needs, accessibility testing and creating accessible technical documentation.
ITCQF (International Technical Communication Qualifications Foundation) is an international foundation that provides training and certification for technical writers. We tested the accessibility of the website and then completely rebuilt it, significantly improving accessibility, performance, readability and search engine positioning. We continue to work closely with the ITCQF in the area of digital accessibility.
Accessibility audit of the Horzyca Theatre website included tests of compliance with WCAG guidelines at level AA as well as testing by end users with disabilities. The final audit report, containing more than 100 observations, was accompanied by training and consultation for the programmers responsible for making improvements.
4_testers is a comprehensive course for junior software testers. As part of our cooperation, we provide its participants with basic information on accessibility of websites and mobile applications.
Mountain Tourism Center of Polish Tourist Society (PTTK) promotes mountain tourism and teaches safe hiking in the mountains. We delivered a training for mountain guides cooperating with the center. During the meeting, we discussed the topics of different types of disabilities, accessibility of tourist attractions and the rules of savoir-vivre in interaction with people with disabilities.
NETKONCEPT develops and implements software for public administration to improve the work of local governments, offices and many other institutions. Our cooperation concerned an audit of the digital accessibility of the public information bulletin (BIP) website. We delivered an audit report on compliance with the WCAG 2.1 standard. We also conducted tests with users with disabilities.
We designed and developed the website for Accessibility and Development Foundation. Together with the foundation's staff, we conducted a design workshop, configured the CMS system, created all the sub-pages and tested them for functionality, performance, SEO and accessibility. The result: a functional, nice and fully accessible website.
The Laznia Nowa is one of the most avant-garde theatres in Poland. We got to know the people working in this institution better during a training course on serving disabled audiences. We are happy to continue our cooperation, creating, among other things, audio descriptions for theatre performances in their repertoire.
We trained the WHOLE team of the Small Theatre in Tychy in serving audiences with disabilities. The participants not only gained new skills and knowledge, but also had a nice time and got to know each other better. It was a unique project. In fact, it was not the first one; previously, part of the theatre's team had taken part in our training on creating audio descriptions.
Foundation [Siódmy zmysł] (https://siodmyzmysl.org/) [English: "Seventh sense"] makes the world more accessible. They specialize in audio description, captions and subtitles, translation to sign language and similar projects. We cooperate closely with them whenever our technical accessibility expertise can be used to make the lives of the handicapped users easier and more comfortable.
Bagatela Theatre engaged us as part of its Global Accessibility Awareness Day celebrations. Together we prepared an audio introduction, audio description and subtitles for the play 'Pomoc domowa', and organised a touch tour before the performance.
We cooperate cosely with portal Udostępnij się! from their day one. Their platform is the best place to find information about cultural events accessible for people with disabilities. We tested their webpage to ensure that it is fully accessible as well.
