Practical Introduction to Designing Accessible Applications

Basic information

Who is this training for: UX designers, front-end developers, UI specialists, product owners.

Training objective: You will become a beginner designer of accessible applications.

Duration: 10 clock hours, consisting of 2 training days lasting 5 hours each.

  • You will learn the principles of designing accessible web and mobile applications.

  • We will show you how to avoid typical accessibility errors already at the design stage.

  • We will point you to existing solutions, proven in your industry.

You will put the acquired knowledge into practice. Together we will go through real accessibility design problems and the use of specific techniques and tools:

  • You will discover accessibility problems present in your product.

  • You will learn about the most popular assistive technologies used by people with disabilities.

  • You will understand what WCAG levels and criteria are.

  • You will learn how to distinguish accessible and inaccessible elements of the user interface.

  • You will learn practical ways to convey instructions on accessibility to developers.

  • You will try out the most popular tools facilitating accessible design in Figma.

  • You will understand the importance and specificity of research with users with disabilities.
